Now that winter has taken hold, you’re probably dreaming wistfully of warm sunshine and sandy beaches. Why not think about booking your family summer holiday? Many package holiday companies offer free child places or discounted holidays if you book early enough.
First Choice | Like many family holiday specialists, First Choice are offering free child places on hundreds of their holidays. The first child travels and stays for free as long as they are 16 years old or younger. Many First Choice hotels and holiday villages have kids’ clubs.
Thomsons | Thomsons have a similar deal with free child places at selected hotels. Many hotels offer drop-in kids’ clubs, giving parents a few hours of child-free relaxation.
Thomas Cook | Thomas Cook are offering a range of family holidays with prices for children starting from £1. Many of the hotels have kids’ clubs, entertainment and water parks. Be aware, however, that in some cases children over the age of 12 will be charged adult prices.
Jet2holidays | One free child place per room per two paying adults is offered at selected hotels on selected departure dates. Infants under two years are free of charge on all holidays and departure dates.
Mark Warner | This family-orientated holiday company offers excellent child care and plenty of activities for parents to make the most of their child-free time. Discounted holidays are available for early bookers.
Cosmos Holidays | Cosmos has lots of special offers for family holidays this summer, particularly to Mediterranean destinations.
EasyJet Holidays | The budget flight company has expanded in recent years and now offers a range of holidays. Its website is advertising a number of discounted package holidays but warns that there is limited availability.
Co-op Travel | Co-op Travel is advertising a January Sale of package holidays for spring and summer this year.
Butlin’s | If you would prefer to stay closer to home for your summer holiday, Butlin’s has a “first child eats free” offer at its three holiday parks.
