Friends of Bishop Gilpin School raises £1,000 with Give as you Live

Bishop Gilpin has been using Give as you live for just over a year and has now raised £1,000 for the school through Give as you Live.

For the last two years they used the funds raised by Give as you live to support their perfect playground project – Improving and creating new and exciting playgrounds for our children to enjoy when playing outside. This year The Friends of Bishop Gilpin (PTA) is concentrating its fundraising efforts to ‘develop a love of reading’. This will include getting new books in the school library and creating inspiring reading spaces that will encourage our children to read.

The PTA effectively communicates the benefits of Give as you Live through their class rep system, in the fortnightly school newsletter which goes out to each parent and by word of mouth at coffee mornings and meetings. Their sign-ups continue to steadily increase, as does their monthly income – proving it’s fast becoming a vital revenue stream and a most effective fundraising initiative for our school.

‘I really feel that Give as You Live is a simple but very effective way to help my children’s school, raising money every time I shop online. It’s so easy to use and it’s good to know that whenever I do my weekly online grocery shop or order gifts for birthdays or Christmas, I’m getting money back for my children’s primary school. It really is money for nothing!’
Kate Oppenheim, Bishop Gilpin parent of three.
