London, 14 December 2015 – Give as you Live, the online fundraising platform that turns a percentage of every penny spent on purchases online into a donation for your chosen charity teamed up with Hereford & Worcester Chamber of Commerce to select a winner from their exclusive member’s only competition.
The competition offered more than 1,500 business members the chance to win a prize bundle up to the value of £1,000 when they made a business purchase of £20 or over via Give as you Live.
Entrants were sent an email with details on how to sign up to Give as you Live and a click through to make their business purchase through one of the 4,000+ online retailers, allowing them to support a charity at no extra cost to the business.
After multiple entries, Julie Bott from Efficient Thinking Solutions Ltd was selected as the competition winner. Julie was a first time user on the Give as you Live platform and purchased ink cartridges for office use, from which a percentage went to support St Richard’s Hospice in Worcester.
Julie was randomly selected by Give as you Live and won the bundle one prize which consisted of an iPad Air 2 and a Bluetooth keyboard.
When asked about shopping through Give as you Live, Julie said, “As I already make a regular donation to St Richard’s Hospice in Worcester and I needed some new ink cartridges, I thought I’d give it a go – any opportunity to raise more funds for St Richard’s!
“I buy a variety of products online, due to the ease of finding the product I’m looking for. Now that I know St Richard’s Hospice will receive a donation each time I purchase something, the shopping experience with Give as you Live even better.”
Julie has installed the Give as you Live toolbar to her browser, adding “It’s made easier by having the toolbar on my browser to advisesme which companies are linked to Give as you Live.”
