From Monday 27th March to Sunday 2nd April 2017 it will mark World Autism Awareness and Acceptance Week. This is your chance to raise money and awareness so that as many people as possible learn about autism.
Autism is a lifelong, developmental disability which can affect how a person communicates with and relates to other people. Its described as a “spectrum disorder” because it is different for each and every person on the spectrum.
Autistic people can see, hear and feel the world differently to other people. But if you are autistic, then it cannot be ‘cured’. But its more common than most people think, there are around 700,000 people in the UK living with autism. People from all nationalities and cultural, religious and social backgrounds can be autistic, although it appears to affect more men than women.
About Beyond Autism & how they help?
The Beyond Autism charity is dedicated to empower people with autism, so they can lead fuller life through positive educational experiences, training for the people who work with them and support for their families and carers.
They are experts in educating children and young people with autism, by applying specific principles of the Applied Behaviour Analysis and Verbal Behaviour to teach students and so they know the life skills they need to live as independent a life as possible.
