Give as you Live is a web-based product from Everyclick that allows shoppers to turn a percentage of every pound spent online into a free donation for any UK cause.
Thousands of online stores, offering millions of products, will donate a percentage of each purchase to any cause a shopper selects. It costs the shopper nothing to Give as you Live as the stores donate the money, not the shopper.
The shopper can pick from over 220,000 UK causes to donate to and, on average, 2.5% of each purchase can be donated.

Give as you Live is a web-based product, meaning you can shop with Give as you Live through our online store or you can install Give as you Live and shop directly with your favourite stores. Each purchase made through either the store or the installed version of Give as you Live will raise money for any UK cause selected - for free. Give as you Live works with 3,073 leading UK stores.
Give as you Live works with existing online affiliate programmes.
Affiliate programmes are used by most well known stores where they pay a commission for every person who is referred to their website and buys a product. This commission is often a percentage of the overall purchase made. Affiliate marketing is frequently used on comparison or cashback websites.
Our partner stores pay a commission on each purchase made through Give as you Live and Everyclick simply redirects a percentage of the commission to any cause the shopper selects.
The shopper does NOT have to pay a penny more to raise money for their favourite cause.
No. There is no price mark-up on Give as you Live products. You pay the same price as you would if you visited the store's site directly. The stores donate, not you. However, it is your purchase that makes the donation possible.
The amount displayed by the stores represent the funds that will be raised for your cause and 100% of these funds are passed on to the charity.
In order to fund the on-going development of Give as you Live, which is free for all UK causes to use and free for all shoppers, Everyclick takes a portion of the total commission we receive from our partner stores.
This portion is taken before any amounts displayed on screen are calculated. This means that 100% of any displayed amounts will be donated to charity.
The portion is typically 50%, however charities can increase their percentage share depending on how much they raise using Give as you Live. In addition, we may occasionally agree with individual stores to donate a higher proportion of their commission. More information about this can be found on our legal page.
Give as you Live can raise money for every UK cause. With over 220,000 causes and charities to pick from, Give as you Live can just as easily raise money for a local school or a national charity.
In addition, you can raise money with Give as you Live to support any Everyclick fundraising page. When selecting your cause, choose "Search for a fundraising page" to search for a page to support.
If you do not select a cause and opt to "just go shopping" any funds you raise will be donated to our charity of the month.
All funds raised through Everyclick Ltd. products, including Give as you Live, are distributed through the Charities Trust, a registered charity that provides payroll giving and donation services, and act as our data and payment provider. Our relationship means that the vast majority of UK charities are available to support through Give as you Live. Once a charity registers with the Everyclick Charity Administration System and agrees to the compliance agreement, payments can be made directly to each charity.

You can use Give as you Live at over 2,000 online stores, including popular brands such as John Lewis, Play.com, Tesco, Expedia and Debenhams.

eBay are not currently one of our Give as you Live stores. We are working hard on correcting this and hope to add them in 2013.

Unless otherwise stated, Give as you Live can only raise money based on the purchase price excluding VAT & delivery. Also, other extras such as credit card fees, tax on flights etc are unlikely to be included when the Give as you Live donation amount is calculated.
We do not recommend visiting voucher code directories, cashback sites or price comparison services as well as using Give as you Live. This is because use of such sites can lead to our stores not making donations on purchases you make.
If you would like to use a voucher code with your purchase, please check the store's page on Give as you Live so that you can save money whilst still earning a donation for the purchase.
The Give as you Live online store features the latest offers, products and stores available through Give as you Live. Simply search for any product or store and click through directly from our website. Once you click through from our website, any item you buy will raise money for your cause.
If you have logged out of your account, you will be asked to log in before you purchase to ensure the money you raise will be sent to your favourite cause.
If you do not wish to log in and wish to just shop, the money raised will be sent to our cause of the month.
Installing Give as you Live Questions
When you install Give as you Live, you can raise funds by going directly to our partner stores' websites. Give as you Live goes with you as you shop online, telling you which online stores you visit are supported and offering alternative product results as you search using your favourite search engines.
This means that you don't need to remember to visit the Give as you Live online store first, you just shop online as you would normally do.
Downloading Give as you Live takes less than 30 seconds. You can install Give as you Live for either Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or Safari.
There are three ways to use Give as you Live once you have installed it:
- With any search engine
- Via the pop-up that will appear when you visit a Give as you Live store
- By using the Give as you Live icon in your browser toolbar
With any search engine: Give as you Live works with any search engine, including Google. Simply enter your search term into the search engine, and if Give as you Live has any matching results they will be displayed on the left of your browser in a Give as you Live window.
This window can be easily opened or closed, as we know that not every search is for something to buy. To close the window, simply click the black 'x' in the top right hand corner. To open the window, there will be a text link near the top of your browser screen that you can click, or simply click the Give as you Live icon, which can be found at the top of your browser screen, next to the address bar.
Via the pop-up that will appear when you visit a Give as you Live store: When you install Give as you Live and you visit one of our partner store's websites, a smaller version of Give as you Live will appear, asking if you would like to raise money for your cause on this site. Simply select "Yes" and a percentage of your purchases will be included in your donation total.
If you would like to check that Give as you Live is tracking, simply click on the small Give as you Live icon, next to your browser address bar. The green tick confirms you are raising money.
By using the Give as you Live icon: The Give as you Live icon can be found at the top of your browser screen, next to the address bar. When using a search engine, the icon allows you to open Give as you Live if you have closed it. When visiting a store's website, the icon allows you to confirm if Give as you Live has been activated to raise funds (a green tick will confirm you are raising money for your cause). If Give as you Live does not open when you visit a partner's website, you can activate it by simply pressing the icon and selecting "yes". For 90% of our stores, the overlay will appear automatically. For the remaining 10%, which includes Amazon and John Lewis, you will need to click the Give as you Live icon and activate manually.

Each store chooses how much they donate for a purchase, therefore the donation rates can vary from store to store. In addition, some stores donate a different amount depending on what product you buy and in some cases, terms and conditions may apply.
If you have installed Give as you Live and want to check how much your purchase will raise, just click "Store rates", found in the top right-hand corner of Give as you Live.
If you are shopping through the Give as you Live online store, the rates can be found on each store's Give as you Live page and alongside product and store search results.
My Account Questions
Creating an account allows you to track how much you have raised for your favourite cause. When you create an account you can log in at any time to confirm how much you have raised broken down by purchase, you can change your cause, update your personal information and adjust your shopping preferences.
After signing up to Give as you Live you will be sent an email asking you to activate your account. Setting up an account takes seconds and allows you to track how much you have raised for your favourite cause.
Yes, Give as you Live is totally secure. When you purchase an item you do so directly with the store. At no point is Everyclick Ltd. given access to your credit card or financial information.
All your personal details are stored in your online account, which you can access at any time. This information is stored securely and is never shared with any 3rd parties. We will only share your personal information with your cause with your permission. You can update your preferences for communications at any time through your account.
Your shopping history is stored in your account, so you can see how much you have raised for your cause. Everyclick Ltd. does not share your browsing history.
No, Everyclick Ltd. will never sell your personal data. From your account you are given the ability to opt into communications from Everyclick Ltd. and from your cause. You can change your communication preferences at any time through your account.
Once a week, Give as you Live will send you shopping offers and discounts based on your shopping preferences. If you would like to change your preferences or to opt in or out of receiving these emails, please log into your account.
Give as you Live is able to offer our shoppers deals and discounts from some of the biggest brands in the market. Each week we will send you a collection of the best deals, helping you to both save money and raise money for your favourite cause.
If you have not already done so, please check your junk mail. In order for future emails to successfully arrive in your inbox, you will need to add Everyclick.com into your safe senders list.
Your personal fundraising total is displayed in your account. For a more detailed breakdown, you can see each of your fundraising transactions in "View all transactions".
If you want to change your chosen cause, you can do this by signing into your account and then following the link to change your chosen cause.
To update your personal settings, sign into your account. In your account, you can update your personal settings as well as access your totals raised, track individual purchases and log claims.
Some anti-virus software packages can be unfamiliar with Give as you Live and therefore may block it. This doesn't mean that our installer contains any malicious content, so please don't be worried. If you cannot get your anti-virus software to allow the installation, please contact us, telling us which software you are using, and we will investigate.
Please speak to your I.T. team about having a copy of Give as you Live placed on your intranet or data server, where downloading should be enabled.
Alternatively, you can encourage your staff to use the Give as you Live online store. Our online store can be accessed via any web browser and doesn't involve any downloads.
You can remove Give as you Live from your computer at any time:
Internet Explorer users
- Click on Start then All Programs
- Click on the Give as you Live program group
- Click Uninstall and follow the instructions
- You will need to restart your browser to complete the uninstallation
- Open Mozilla Firefox
- Go to the Tools menu
- Select Add-ons
- Highlight the Give as you Live add-on
- Click Uninstall
- Restart Firefox when prompted to do so
- Open Safari
- Go to Edit menu
- Select Preferences
- Go to the Extensions tab
- Highlight the Give as you Live extension
- Click Uninstall
- Open Chrome
- Click the spanner icon on the far right hand side of the address bar
- Select settings to open the settings page
- Select Extensions on the left hand side of the page
- Click the Remove button by the Give as you Live extension
- Click Uninstall
If you have found a bug with Give as you Live or have a suggestion, and it is not answered here, please don't hesitate to contact our team.
Stores will not be able to help you with Give as you Live queries.
You must, however, contact the store directly if you have any complaints about the product itself or wish to return a product. Please do not contact Everyclick Ltd. with questions or concerns about any products purchased as we will not be able to help you.
Please contact us if you have any concerns with a store's actions regarding purchases made through Give as you Live. Alternatively if you have a claim from a purchase that you have made which is not showing in your account please use the claim icon form within your account panel.
For Give as you Live to function correctly, your browser must:
- Have cookies enabled
- Allow popup windows
Occasionally, some links may stop working if a store leaves the Give as you Live programme without giving us sufficient notice, which will cause their links to not work until we remove them from Give as you Live.
It is also possible for some of our product links to not work if a store has provided us with a faulty product feed. With over 15 million products, we are unable to monitor all of these links, however when made aware of any problems, we will contact the store in question to bring it to their attention.
If you wish to notify us of any links that are not working, please contact us, telling us the store and/or product in question.
By default, Internet Explorer's InPrivate mode disables all add-ons, including popular add-ons including Flash and Silverlight. If you want to disable this, go to Tools and then Options and select the Privacy tab. Untick 'Disable toolbars and extensions when InPrivate Browsing starts'.
Transaction and Claims Questions
When you make a purchase it can take up to two weeks for it to show in your account. This is because the store you bought your item from needs to report this purchase to us before we can update your account.
Most stores are quick to send us the required information and in the majority of cases, your transaction will appear in your account the morning afterward the purchase. You will also receive a confirmation email.
However, some stores do take longer. For example, Amazon purchases appear in your account within 24 hours of the items being dispatched rather than bought. If your purchase was made more than two weeks ago, please continue to submit a claim so we can follow up directly with the store.
To inquire about a purchase that isn't showing in your Give as you Live account, simply log into your account and select "Make a claim".
Please note that we update user transactions daily, and that some transactions can take a couple of days to come through. Therefore, please wait until a few days after the purchase before making a claim.
Once the claim has been submitted, it may take up to 75 days for us to receive the information we require from the stores to settle your claim.
When you have made a purchase your transaction goes through a number of different stages. The different stages are:
- Pending - Your purchase has been successfully tracked and we are now waiting for the store to approve the purchase
- Approved - Your transaction has been approved by the store. Everyclick is now waiting for the funds to be received from the store before we can update your funds total
- Paid - The funds you have raised are now being processed for disbursement to your cause
- Declined - This means that the store has declined your transaction and therefore your cause will not receive the funds.
We guarantee to pass on all Give as you Live donations to your chosen cause once we have received them. We pay charities on a monthly basis, and once funds have been received we will transfer the funds in the next available payment run.
In the very small minority of cases where we don't receive money from a store, we cannot pass it on. Everyclick is totally transparent with our users when a commission is refused. All information relating to the status of an individual commission is clearly displayed in your account. If you have any questions about a specific product commission, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Unfortunately, because of the rules set by our stores, we are only able to make a claim to a store in the first 100 days after you purchase an item. Therefore, you will not be able to make a claim on such purchases.
If you work for a charity, you can access how much has been raised for your cause, and a variety of free reporting and marketing tools, through the Everyclick Admin System.
Once you have access to the Everyclick Charity Administration System, you can download a wide variety of free marketing tools, including web pages, buttons, email content and social media messages. These marketing tools are provided free of charge to help your supporters access Give as you Live.
