Thousands of stores will donate money to your favourite charity when you shop online.

I love that whenever I spend any money on treats for myself I can help other people. I'm a firm believer of giving back, whether that's volunteering within your community, sponsoring my friends for Santa runs, marathons, bike rides and sponsored trolley pushes, or making sure that you're aware of the opportunities available to you.

Having found this to be such a quick and easy way of shopping online, I challenge anyone to find a better way of donating to charity through spending money you were going to anyway and somehow not costing you a penny.

I used a search engine to find my make and model of vacuum and Give as you Live gave me a list of participating shops. I decided on this website www.7dayshop.com which was easy to use and didn't charge any postage, and even better supplied non branded vaccum bags that fitted my vaccum at a fraction of the price I would have paid in the shop!

The Give as you Live box popped up, having not used the app before I wondered if I would have to fill in lots of details about me and my purchase, but no, I bought the product as normal and straight away I was told I had donated 68p to the charity of my choice.

After downloading the app and testing it for myself I was amazed at how easy and user friendly it really was.

I love the way that when I go onto a shops website that is participating in Give as you Live it tells me straight away and automatically gives a percentage of the money to charity without me having to do a thing.

I just downloaded Give as you Live™ for Firefox. The icon sits next to Salesforce.com, Gmail and my colleagues' calendars in my toolbar. I know I buy and book things online. I know I want to give to charity. And I know now with Give as you Live™ I only have to hit “yes” to make this happen.
