What does this mean to your charity?

Our work at the Sanctuary is very like that of a hospice – we give the animals, most of which are survivors of the most horrendous cruelty at the hands of mankind, the very best of care, allowing the younger ones to get over their abuse and develop into happy adults, and for the older ones to spend their twilight years doing as they wish!

We have over 200 animals at the Sanctuary that are all fed, watered, cared for and very much loved. They receive regular veterinary and farrier attention and the benefit of holistic therapies. Many of the animals are older, with many of the equines being between 30 and 45 years – these older horses are in excellent condition, happy, pain free and with a good quality of life – for some of them for the first time in their lives.

It takes a lot of hard work money and effort to keep old and sick animals in such good condition, so the funds raised via Give as you Live are vital to maintaining the good works that we do here.

What communication channels do you use to promote Give as you Live?

We use social media (Facebook, Twitter and Google+) as well as our website and also various e-newsletters which we send out regularly in line with the campaigns.

What Give as you Live resources have you used to promote it to your supporters?

We make good use of the full suite of resources, from the images and pre-written social media posts to the pre-formatted newsletters and posters.
