All I’ve been hearing about this week is Fifty Shades of Grey, by E.L. James. My Facebook feed is full of friends talking about how much they love this book: so much, in fact, I was starting to feel a bit left out! So I’ve decided to jump on the bandwagon.
I went straight to Amazon, knowing that they will donate 3.5% of the cost to my chosen charity of the moment, When you wish upon a star. Most of the reviews on Amazon gave the book five stars, so here are some of the best comments….
Phew… What a fantastic read. I finished it this morning at 8.30 and promptly started on the second one. How addictive. I’ve taken a couple of days leave to catch up on some much needed housework and I cannot stop reading this trilogy of books
I love both Ana and Christians’ characters.. both of them honest .. The story is of course a serious one but with a lot of humour too. I have enjoyed the emailing and the quirkiness between Ana and Christian is so well written, they are passionate for each other and boy does it show.
Well what can I say! Fifty Shades of Grey, I automatically thought it was going to be a Mills and Boons romance. I had seen the book in shops and kept saying it was not my type of book and then I read it! It had me captured from the start. I won’t tell you about the book itself but just that it is a must read for EVERY woman out there and for every woman who read One Day…… It’s nothing like it.
I’m supporting When you wish upon a star, as a result of the Kirsty for good campaign. We’re working with Kirsty to help her reach her £250k fundraising target for this year. Read more about Kirsty here.
If you want to sign up and help Kirsty raise more funds for her charity, just click here, and click Discover Give as you Live. Even small purchases, like a popular book will add up, and count towards her goal.
I’ve been using Give as you Live for just over a year, and have already raised £162.01 in total. It just shows that once you have signed up, Give as you Live really does fit into your everyday life, time flies and before you know it, you’ve raised a massive amount for charity, all at no cost to you!
