Congratulations to Black and Blue on becoming our charity of the fortnight.

Who are Black and Blue?
Black and Blue are a registered charity set up by a group of determined individual to promote non-violence. They raise funds to help and support people affected by domestic and sexual violence, hate crime and abuse.
What do they do?
Black and Blue raise money to directly help people affected by domestic and sexual violence, hate crime and abuse. They use the funds raised to buy and provide useful (and quite often lifesaving) items. They do this by teaming up with recognised groups who offer support to victims. The Charity has bought phones for trafficked women, toothpaste, shampoo and shower gel for women fleeing domestic violence and nice warm PJ’s for their children. They have also paid for taxi and rail fares and a safe place to stay for a night for a family at very high risk from domestic violence.
Black and Blue look for interesting and attractive ways to get the idea across to everyone from adults to children that violence is wrong.
