Now it’s November, I think its okay to start getting excited for Christmas and start planning present buying and decorations. I have myself organised already with the help of an excel spreadsheet, that tells me who, where, how much and where the present is from, sad, no, organised, yes.
I’ve even created a wish list to make it easy for my friends and family to buy me the presents I want. And all the purchases from this list will be in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The majority of my Christmas shopping can be done through Give as you Live, so I am set to raise around £50 for charity, which is great news, and I will let my friends and family know how much was raised for the charity on the gift tag.
I just love wrapping presents and making them that extra bit special for the person that is receiving it. I always have a ‘theme’ each year- last year it was parcel paper, red and green ribbon, with candy canes hanging off. So how can I top last year?
I have decided that this year I will alternate my wrapping between parcel paper, and some beautiful robin wrapping paper I found on Notonthehighstreet.com for just £2.25 a sheet and I will also buy some red ribbon from Marks and Spencer for £2.50.
To give the presents that extra special touch I will add a sprig of berries underneath the ribbon and a mini glass heart bauble, I found a pack of 12 on Notonthehighstreet.com for £6.
Not only do my presents raise money for my charity, even the wrapping paper does! That’s another £2 raised this Christmas through Give as you Live. Why don’t you have a go at turning your presents into a work of art with Give as you live this year, don’t forget to show us your creations on our Facebook wall?
