Life-changing research for affected babies

Their official mascot is Paddington Bear. Davina McCall supports them. So does Fiona Bruce.

For 60 years they’ve contributed to some of the most significant medical breakthroughs affecting babies and children in history. Their first project, helping to develop a polio vaccine, has eradicated new cases in the UK.

Their other research projects have included pregnancy ultrasound, the rubella vaccine and the importance of folic acid in preventing spina bifida.

Brightening the gloom

Cupcakes and balloons in hand, it was a wet Monday in Horsham when we visited staff at the children’s charity Action Medical Research and introduced them to Give as you Live.

Sharon Heathcote, responsible for relationship fundraising at Action Medical Research, said: “Great to have such an inspiring visit from Suki and Annabelle. The presentation shows how easy it is for supporters to sign up and raise money for free!

“They gave us some brilliant fundraising tips on how to market Give as you Live in many new ways.”

1,000 shoppers in time for Christmas

Give as you Live allows you to raise money for charitable causes every time you shop online, without costing you a penny more. We’d love to recruit 1,000 shoppers for this amazing charity in time for Christmas, to help them continue:

  • Tackling premature birth and treating sick and vulnerable babies
  • Helping children affected by disability, disabling conditions and infections
  • Targeting rare diseases that together severely affect many forgotten children

If you’d like to show your support, just sign up to Action Medical Research’s Give as you Live page.

Because every shopper generates an average £2.10 a month, if we hit our target Give as you Live shoppers can raise over £25,000 every year for the charity.

Every friend is another fiver

For a limited time we’ll also reward Action Medical Research with £5 for every new shopper you introduce to Give as you Live. (They need to spend at least £10 on online shopping through Give as you Live before the year’s out.)

You can sign up to Action Medical Research’s Give as you Live page here.
