I read on Facebook the other day that one of my friends has completed all of her Christmas shopping… PANIC.
I always tell myself I’m going to have all of my present bought and wrapped up earlier, but it never works out that way. There’s just under 4 weeks to go until Christmas Day, so still a fair amount of time to get everything done.
This week’s shopping tips are on Grandparents & stocking fillers. Grandparents are widely known for their chilled out lives, being retired, seeing their friends and waiting for visitors to come over and see them each week. A regular occurrence for me and my sisters would be to go over to Grandma’s once a week for stew and dumplings! But the question is what can you buy someone who has everything they need? The answer’s in our Christmas Gift Guide.
The top gift for Grandma this week is a personalised calendar. It can be difficult to keep Grandparents updated on all of your latest news and gossip, and everyone loves looking at photo’s, so a calendar full of family photos is a perfect gift to start off the New Year. Jamie Oliver’s ‘Oh my What a pie’ dish gets pushed from No1 down to No 6, and the garden discovery for 2 moves up 2 places to 2nd place.
And for Grandpa’s, the top gift is National Trust Membership, which knocked the golf day out of the top spot. The annual membership fee includes free entry and parking at more than 300 historic houses and gardens. So many great days out! Some other great gifts for Grandpa include: an Amazon kindle, a tool and tuck box and a digital radio.
Stocking fillers are fun to shop for, they are smaller less expensive gifts that make the family laugh on Christmas morning. The top stocking filler this week is the Addictaball, followed by a giant chupa chups lollipop and third is the ring for loo roll bell!
