What’s your opinion on Give as you Live as a fundraising tool?

Fundraising tools don’t get much better than something which doesn’t actually cost any of your supporters anything. It makes a nice change not having to actually ask for their money to be able to support us. It also means that those who would like to raise money for Good Story but perhaps don’t have the funds can also join in.

What are the funds are going to help the charity pay for?

The funds will help Good Story continue to support more young creative entrepreneurs through business loans and mentoring.

How do you promote Give as you Live?

We have featured Give as You Live in our most recent newsletter, emailed our mentors and applicants using a template from the Give As You Live toolkit, and we have made several posts on our social media about it. Being the only employee of the charity, I even started a campaign with my own friends on Facebook titled ‘ Help me keep my Job’ to encourage those that weren’t necessarily familiar with Good Story’s work to raise money for the charity.  It gained 46 supporters alone and also increased our social media following.

What materials you’ve used from our toolkit?

We built a custom homepage, took part in the webinar, used an email template to promote Give as You Live, and used a couple of social media posts from the marketing calendar including a competition. We also involved our followers in a competition to help us come up with our Give As You Live tagline.

What do you think of the support Give as you Live offers?

The level of support they give to charities, especially those new to fundraising, is exemplary. Everything in the tool kit is designed for maximum ease for the fundraiser, and is also clear and easy to follow. All small charities will now just how precious time is, and Give as You Live makes allows you to raise much needed funds with out spending hours doing it. And that goes for the charities and the shoppers alike.
