Were you training for a marathon event that has now been cancelled? Would you love to be able to run a marathon, but don’t have the level of fitness? The Home Heroes Marathon is the answer!
Give as you Live Donate offer free fundraising pages to raise vital funds for UK charities. We’re also the home of great fundraising tips, ideas and advice! Here’s how to run or walk a marathon at home:
1. Choose a distance
It doesn’t have to be a marathon – it could be a 5k, 10k, half-marathon – whatever you like!
2. Choose a time frame
If you were already training for a spring/summer running event, you may wish to complete your challenge in one day. But if you’re starting from scratch, why not break it down into more manageable chunks. For example, you could aim to run 50k in a month, or walk a half marathon in a week.
3. Set up your fundraising page
As well as collecting sponsorship from your friends and family, use your fundraising page to share updates about your challenge, or to upload your daily progress!
Give as you Live Donate fundraising pages are free, easy-to-setup and simple to share. We also have lots of tips and tricks to help boost your fundraising efforts.
An at-home marathon gives you the opportunity to collect sponsorship from your friends and family whilst completing a challenge you’ve always wanted to do. The best bit? There are no limits to the distance you’d like to tackle or the time you’d like to do it in.
