The Shakespeare Marathon & Half Marathon is back for 2020, and Give as you Live Donate have got your sponsorship and fundraising covered!
Taking place on Sunday 26th April 2020, the Shakespeare Marathon & Half Marathon is Stratford-upon-Avon’s mainly flat, fast course through historic sights and beautiful Warwickshire countryside. Offering full marathon and half-marathon distances, the event has been awarded the BARR Gold Standard, reflecting high standards achieved in every aspect of its organisation.
Here at Give as you Live Donate, we’re delighted to be the official donation partner of the Shakespeare Marathon & Half Marathon, and we’ve got every participant covered with easy-to-set-up pages to collect sponsorship from friends, family and colleagues. Don’t worry about sheets of paper or collecting in cash after the event, donors simply visit your webpage and pay their sponsorship by card. Plus, they’re free!
Ready to get started? Here’s how, in 4 simple steps!
First things first, how much do you want to raise? Have a figure in mind and choose the charity you want to support!
If you’re raising money for Stratford Rotary, the organisers of the Shakespeare Marathon, why not take a look at the charity’s website to find out what specific amounts mean to the charity. For example, if you raised £250, what could that fund?
Give as you Live Donate fundraising pages allow you to tell your story to your sponsors. As well as letting them know which of the Shakespeare Marathon events you’re taking part in and why you are setting yourself the challenge, don’t forget to add images to the page. The images you choose will be seen by your friends, family and colleagues whenever you share your fundraising page on social media or in WhatsApp, as well as when people visit your page, so make sure you choose images to represent why you are asking for their money!
Fundraisers who share their fundraising page on social media, via email or in WhatsApp typically see ALOT more donations. It’s easy to forget to donate, so don’t feel shy about sharing your page to the same group of people more than once!
Be savvy about when you share too – reminding people of your challenge around payday, or in the last few days before the event will encourage people to part with their cash and support your efforts!
