Spring Gardening

Since fleeing the nest to live with my boyfriend last October I have become quite the housewife, which I never thought would happen. My uncontrollable urge to shop for clothes, has now turned to an uncontrollable urge to shop for the home. With summer fast approaching, that urge has now turned to things for the garden.

The smell of mowed grass and driving to work with the sunroof open has me daydreaming of barbecues and lazy evenings in the back garden. However in reality, the garden looks like something from tomb raider.

Living in the centre of a town, we only have a small courtyard looking out to the back of some flats. It really needs brightening up, I’m thinking I’ll cut the hedge back, pop some fairy lights in it, get some nice big pots and fill them with colourful flowers and get a patio set. Not forgetting to fix the hole in fence so the dog can’t escape!

I’ve found some great bargains online to preen my garden at Gardening Direct, what’s more by shopping online for my pot plants with Give as you Live I’ve raised £1.30 towards my fundraising for the marathon I’m running in October for Tommy’s, it’s just a shame my gardening isn’t as good as my training!
