My Give as you Live Experience:
Do you ever feel sometimes like you want to change your name? Living in a house like mine is like a whirlwind, at times it can be brilliant but at other times it can be somewhat stressful. I’ve had a few different jobs in the past but my main role has been being a host Mum to foreign students, Housewife, Mum and Grandma.

So as you can imagine my life is pretty much full with cooking, ironing, cleaning, looking after the grandchildren, and foreign students who come to stay with us. Don’t get me wrong my husband does treat me to the odd break but that’s to be expected (right ladies?!)

Anyway so back to the name change, all you Mum’s out there, although you love your children dearly (of course), do you ever get a little bit frustrated with hearing “Muuuuum” 50 times a day?

Well after a busy week helping my husband run his Marquee at the cricket festival along with all my other daily chores, combined with constantly hearing “Muuuum” and “Debbie” (in somewhat flawed English accent), it was decided that I needed a little bit of time out.

After a short phone call with my best friends, it was decided, a girl’s holiday to Crete was going to be booked! Hours later the flights were sorted and I was organising a quick trip into town to shop for my holiday essentials.

Having been on holiday earlier in the year I had most things, the only thing I needed was suncream. Just as I was about to leave, my daughter suggested, “Muuuum, why don’t you pay for your suncream online with Boots and Give as you Live.”

She just typed in www.giveasyoulive.com, and showed me how it worked. I loved it, Boots gave up to 5% of what I spent to Cancer Research UK. The best thing about buying it from Boots is that you can buy it online, give to charity then just pop into the store to collect it instead of paying for delivery!

I would have never thought to buy such a thing online, but now I know I can give to charity just by shopping I’ll be doing it wherever possible. The best thing about buying it from Boots is that you can buy it online, give to charity then just pop into the store to collect it instead of paying for delivery!

I can’t wait for my girly break with my two best friends, as my mate Emma always says “two’s company, but three’s better!”
