Festival season will be on us before we know it, and now is a good time to start planning ahead. Which festival will take your fancy? These are some of our favourites…
Radio 1’st Big Weekend festival will run from Friday 25 May to the Monday and feature headline acts such as Mumford & Sons, Chase ‘n Status, Bastille, Jake Bugg and Stigma. The touring line-up will be appearing at venues in Carlisle, Exeter, Hull, Norwich and Glasgow.
Held on the 6-8 July at London’s Finsbury Park, the Wireless Festival will feature acts such as Stormzy, J Cole, DJ Khaled, Giggs, Goldlink and Wiley. Day tickets are already sold out, but you may still be able to access VIP packages.
Another Bank Holiday spectacular, the Leeds Festival features acts such as Fall Out Boy, Traviss Scott, The Kooks, The Wombats, Kendrick Lamar, Dua Lipa, Kings of Leon and The Vaccines. Weekend day tickets cost £205 plus booking fees, and day tickets cost £69.50 plus booking fees.
Running from Friday 24 August to the Monday, the Bank Holiday festival in Reading is the biggest in the UK. The line-up includes headline acts such as Fall Out Boy, Kendrick Lamar, Kings of Leon and Panic! at the Disco. Weekend tickets start from £205 plus booking fees, and day tickets are £69.50 plus booking fees of £7 – the same pricing structure as its sister festival in Leeds.
Manchester Big Weekend
Held over August Bank Holiday, the Manchester Big Weekend will feature world-famous DJs, leading music acts, alternative shows, great food and a superbly social and welcoming experience that is suitable for all. Get down to Canal Street in the Gay Village where the action will centre, and enjoy the colour and life of Manchester’s famous LGBT scene. Weekend tickets are £24 each and £8 per child.
