How to get involved in World Cancer Day 2016

About World Cancer Day…
On 4 February, World Cancer Day unites the world’s population in the fight against cancer as a way to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment.

Currently, 8.2 million people die from cancer worldwide every year, out of which, 4 million people die prematurely (aged 30 to 69 years).

What can you do?

The ‘Talking Hands’ Campaign
The ‘Talking Hands’ social media campaign is an entertaining and easy way to show your support to the fight against cancer and increase the global impact of the day.All you need to do is write a message on your hand (or a piece of paper) along the ‘We can. I can’ theme and share it with your friends and family on your social channels.

Whether you do something as large as running your own World Cancer Day campaign or as simple as sharing the World Cancer Day template messages amongst your networks, every action has an impact.

Show the world that we can, I can… get involved in the fight against cancer.
