TOMS have teamed up with the Malala fund, a nonprofit organisation that believes every girl should be able to achieve their dreams through education. Here in the UK, the thought of our children being prevented from getting an education seems odd, but for some children in the world it is a reality.
Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for girls’ education and the youngest-ever Nobel Prize Laureate. At age 15, she was singled out by the Taliban for advocating for girls’ education and severely wounded by a gunshot while returning home from school. She miraculously survived, and Malala’s advocacy has since grown into an international movement.
Today Malala is a leading campaigner for girls’ education and the co-founder of the Malala Fund.
TOMS have worked with the Malala fund to create an exclusive scarf to raise awareness for female education and gender equality by supporting the Malala Fund. By wearing or giving this unique scarf, you’re joining women everywhere in standing with Malala and empowering girls to achieve their potential and inspire positive change in their communities.
With every scarf you purchase, TOMS will donate 100% of the profits to the Malala Fund, supporting girls’ empowerment through education.
