Top Ten Ways to Let me Entertain You

You may have noticed, the different shopping categories on our website? Well I’d like to invite you to the premiere of ‘Entertainment’. I’m always coming across weird and wonderful products with the ‘I must have it now’ factor, so be sure to check back for my latest treasures found in the trove of the internet. Plus they all raise money for your charity if you buy through Give as you Live. So to start off, I’m going to share with you my top ten products:

The Slush Mug

I’m still amazed at this mug. Basically you freeze the inside bit and then add ANY liquid you want (preferably drinkable), give it a stir and it instantly turns it into a slush. No churning or clumpy mechanical device, simply a mug. I had 4 slushies the other day, just because I could.

‘Arty’ Books

I love the books from Urban Outfitters, the kind that would look good strewn across your coffee table. My favourites include ‘The Hungover Cookbook’, ‘Pep-Talks & Pick-Ups’ and ‘The Polaroid Book’. Also makes a good read for your guests if you’re prone to running late, not that I am ever late…

Addictaball

The clue is in the name, this game is addictive and will test your patience, on the plus side it improves your hand eye co-ordination and dexterity. I got my friend one for his birthday and he still hasn’t put it down.

Apple iPad
I could not live without my iPad, I think without it I would be a whole different person, i.e someone who doesn’t use the term ‘I’ll Google it’ 15 times a day. Anyway, iPads are great, you can store films, music, games, and documents. Not to mention the App store with hundreds of things to keep you entertained- such as paper tossing and throwing birds at pigs.

Batman Anthology
In our house we’re film fanatics, so much so we’ve run out of space to keep all the DVDs, which are alphabetically ordered I’ll have you know. Batman takes pride of place with the Blurays and the box set is brilliant for movie marathon days.

Alton Towers at Halloween

Anyone who has been to Alton Towers knows it’s an awesome day out, but at Halloween it is so much more fun. Their Scarefest is great; I visited 3 times in a week last year! The park stays open until 9 at night, so you can go on all the rides in the dark, take a spooky walk through the woods, where you may get a fright and you can even stay the night in a scare room.

Hamster Racer set

I nearly bought a hamster, just so I could watch it race round in a car. You can even get a track to build, so you’re hamsters can race against each other. If that’s not entertainment, I don’t know what is.

Micro Gyro Helicopter

The amount of fun we had with one of these at Christmas. Hovering over our Grandmas’ head and the dog chasing it was hilarious. Don’t worry if you have no hand eye coordination, I steered mine into a wall at least 3 times and it still works.

The Cakewich

This was an amusing find and one I’m still yet to purchase, but it will be mine soon- I give you The Cakewich by Fred. Make tasty cakes in the shape of sandwiches and enjoy your tasty ‘sandwich’ every lunchtime! I love Fred cookware, from their skull and crossbones ice cube trays to their drumstick wooden spoons.

Bombay Bicycle Club

I love Bombay Bicycle Club, a kind of indie/folk band that has become more popular in the last 2 years. I’ve seen them three times now and every time I do I want to see them again straight after. I’m not saying go and see Bombay because I love them, but do go and see your favourite band, it’s such a thrill to see and hear them right in front of you.
