Yorkshire Cat Rescue – Declan’s Story

Yorkshire Cat Rescue saves the lives of abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens in Yorkshire and parts of Lancashire. They offer a rehoming service for such cats and accommodate them at its purpose-built centre near Keighley. They work hard to relieve the suffering of cats that are in need of care and attention and, in particular, to provide or maintain rescue homes or other facilities for unwanted animals and their treatment and that’s exactly what they did for Declan.

It’s been a whole year since Declan was sadly hit by a car in Leeds. Miraculously Declan survived the substantial trauma but was unfortunately left with many injuries that needed urgent care. Thankfully, a local charity offered £120 for his treatment; but unfortunately the event left Declan in urgent need of further costly surgery. All thanks to Yorkshire Cat Rescue paying off the lengthy costs, Declan managed to get the treatment he needed to continue living a happy life.
Declan had to have extensive physio and multiple complex surgeries but despite having soldiered through! He now has a wired jaw, pinned hips and a heart murmur however lives a happy life with his adopted owner Louise.
