What toolkit resources have you used so far?
I have used the html. Email a few times, they are really useful as they look both professional and trusted, with appropriate branding, links and styles. I have also used the marketing text, images and branded flyers that are available; they are creative and help to make the scheme appealing and approachable.
Do you use the seasonal marketing materials?
The majority of our promotional activity for Give as You Live is around seasonal marketing materials. In December 2013 I used the Christmas materials including the html. Email and Facebook imagery these were great for festive messaging. I also used an A5 bespoke flyer which had our charity name and a wrapped Christmas present on it; this was visually appealing and an easy tool to push to our Corporate Partners. For Mothers’ Day I used the html. Email, which was easy to implement and an awareness poster with the bespoke marketing picture of a spa – this looked very inviting!
What communication channels do you use to promote Give as you Live?
I have tried to best maximise and utilise the resources that are available within my organisation. With that, I have used a mixture of the above to promote both internally and externally to our supporter base. We have a strong social media presence, so I have used this to reach our wide audience in an easy and effective manner. We also have an email database of more than 5,000 individuals where I have been able to reach this audience through our seasonal campaigns. I have informed staff by putting posters (created from the toolkit) in the office and sending internal emails about the partnership. In addition, I have put a permanent fixture about the partnership on our website and asked our corporate partners to help promote it across their intranets and social media platforms.
