Following the hugely successful Fashion’s Night In online event in November – December 2011 will see the launch of VOGUE.COM’s first ever Online Fashion Week. And while receiving exclusive offers and content, VOGUE.COM shoppers can also look forward to raising money for their favourite causes, as retailers featured during Online Fashion Week will donate a percentage of each purchase to causes chosen by readers via Give as you Live technology.
With last year’s Fashion Night In event raising over £40,000 for charity in just six hours, Online Fashion Week, hosted by VOGUE.COM, is a great opportunity for shoppers to raise money for charity as they take advantage of the exclusive offers and fashion content featured.
From now until December 5, VOGUE.COM and Give as you Live will be liaising with a long list of retailers to plan top secret, exclusive offers, one-time-only collections and never-seen-before content. Then, from 9am on December 5 to 6pm on December 9, all will be revealed via the Online Fashion Week blog on VOGUE.COM. For the latest updates on the event, please visit www.onlinefashionweek.co.uk.
VOGUE.COM readers will be given the opportunity to select the charity that they would like to support with their purchases. Give as you Live will track and disburse these funds. Dolly Jones, Editor of VOGUE.COM says: “Brands highlighted during Online Fashion Week will donate a percentage of each purchase made to causes chosen by our readers. Online Fashion Week is about great fashion and celebrating online retail but we also want it to raise as much money as possible for as many charities as possible.”.
Polly Gowers, CEO of Everyclick, says, “With so many Charities struggling in the current climate, we are delighted to partner with VOGUE.COM in turning Online Fashion Week into a great fashion event that also delivers valuable funds to a wide range of deserving charities”.
Online Fashion Week website badges will be available for retailers and charities to promote Online Fashion Week to their customers and supporters in the run up to Online Fashion Week. For more information please see www.giveasyoulive.com/vogue
